Why did I delete all of my articles?

"The protagonist of decluttering is not the items but oneself." This is a technique that focuses on the relationship between items and oneself, and involves choosing and discarding items. The mindset we should adopt is not "this thing can still be used, so I should keep it," but rather "I need it, so it is necessary." The subject is always oneself, and the timeline is always the present.

Origin of the idea:

A long time ago, I realized that my blog was cluttered with various types of content.

So I planned several future writing directions:

  • Philosophy column

Philosophy, one of the social ideologies, is a doctrine about worldview. It is a theoretical and systematic worldview, an abstract summary of natural knowledge, social knowledge, and thinking knowledge, and a unity of worldview and methodology. It is a specific existence and manifestation of social consciousness, taking the form of pursuing the origin, essence, commonality, or absolute and ultimate nature of the world, and establishing philosophical worldview and methodology as the content of social science.

The name may sound intimidating, but it is actually my reflections on books, movies, and life.

  • Methodology column

With the existence of philosophical theories, there is no need to separate a separate methodology, but this "methodology" is different from the usual methodology. This topic mainly focuses on the settings and usage of various software and games.

  • Worth Buying series

Various recommendations, such as monitors, drones, computers, phones, IoT, etc.

  • Worth Buying series

Evaluations of various products bought by Hexiangu.

These plans may seem good, but they are just tidying up, not organizing. They only make things more organized but do not lighten one's burden. Only by first diagnosing how much energy the items have taken away from you, and then selectively choosing items, can self-improvement be achieved. After all, in decluttering, the problem lies not in the mess, but in the accumulation of items that focus on the past and the future.

Implementing my ideas:

Items have value when they are used - this is for decluttering.

Items should be present where they are needed at this moment - this is for discarding.

Items can showcase beauty when they are in the appropriate position - this is for detachment.

Organizing is primarily a process of subtraction.

After making up my mind, I began to examine my articles.

Upon careful examination, I realized that my articles seemed sophisticated but were actually just repeating other people's viewpoints. The most viewed article, "TeamSpeak Server Setup Guide," was mostly derived from EdisonJwa's "TeamSpeak Server Setup Method."

Do I really need this article?

Perhaps, I initially wanted to write an article for each service I set up to recommend, but I overlooked the basic principle of innovation.

We can unknowingly fall into a trap and completely forget whether the things suit our taste. Items are mirrors that reflect our true selves. Facing the items is facing our true selves. Remember, there is no one else who can make "someday" or "eventually" happen but yourself.

No matter how expensive or rare an item is, only those who can judge whether they need it are truly powerful. Only by letting go of attachments can one gain more confidence.

In this way, by focusing on the relationship between articles and oneself, one can see the self-image projected through the articles. Next, one can gradually see how others perceive oneself. If one can casually write an article, others will also treat them casually.

Once self-image is improved through decluttering, one will gradually feel a change in how others treat them. Therefore, this process of selecting items also has the power to change one's relationships with others.

So, "I'm sorry" and "thank you."

Choosing things that match the present self eliminates the need for tidying up.
